My Time Crisis Scores (Feb. 2013)

Seeing that I've been trying to improve my personal records on the arcade games I play on Twitter, I thought it would be better to archive them on here. Make things look more clean.

Starting off with the arcade version of Time Crisis. The original. A good working DX machine can be found in Funland, Blackpool. But the cabinet is located upstairs which isn't always open. Seems to be if there's a lot of potential customers around.

I managed to reach 1st place on all three stages in Time Attack mode. Beating .SM/Smraedis' own times but have yet to top Story Mode. Very pleased nevertheless.

Time Crisis Results - 23/2/2013

Stage 1

2'38"30

Stage 2

3'25"78
Top my previous record back in September 2010.

Stage 3

4'57"10

Story Mode

10'56"20
Two playthroughs on that day. Improved by 3.80 seconds on second playthrough. Both 1CC. Improvement came from taking down bosses quicker then before.

So overall, A great improvement on Time Attack but need to work on Story Mode. Tried practising on the PS1 port but it feels quite different from the AC version. Next time I get to play the cab, I'll see what I can do.

That is all.

In 199X...

...no one died. In 200X, no one died. In 201X- I mean I COULD go on.

Hello you. Hokuto no Shock here. Y'know, that guy who did those dumb videos of Bottom on YouTube and won't stop going on about arcade games and Fist of the North Star? Yeah, that's me. How's it going? Have a seat.

I actually set up this blog back in 2009. Couldn't think of what use at the time. Initially, I was going to use this to report on any interesting arcades in the UK. Ironically, 2009 was the time that there was a definite decline in video games. That resulted in a backfired plan and a loss of enthusiasm. Although I have been going on quite a few trips at a few locations lately and been pointing out any interesting titles on Twitter. What's left of them anyway.

Got a few things in mind to put down at last. This will probably be irregularly updated like most blogs. But since posting on Twitter, I'd wanted to post things that defied the 140 character limit. And posts do get lost in time (like tears in rain...time to die) on Twitter.

Anyway, how are you?

I'M JACKIE CHAN. THIS IS MY GAME. One of the reasons I didn't blog back in 2009. If you haven't played Jackie Chan in Fists of Fire, do yourself a favour and get MAME installed.
